The best time for taking honey is early morning fasting alone or with a glass of milk (or yogurt) and also with fresh lemon or grapefruit. A best in quality honeys are linden, acacia, buckwheat. Interesting fact about honey is that traditional medicine is also used as a laxative (100 g honey with warm water on an empty stomach) and sleeping ('50 honey 30 minutes before bedtime). A spoonful of honey will give you about 60 calories, but agreed this morning on an empty stomach will help to increase metabolism, balance hormones and fat burning.
