Beer protects against osteoporosis

Beer is a significant source of assimilable silicon - an important element in bone mineral density, says a study naKaliforniyskiya University "Davis." The research team studied more than 100 popular worldwide brands of beer, with a focus on technological progress, resulting in the beer which contains useful trace element for humans.

Silicon is contain in almost all beers in Hormah soluble orthosilicic acid, about 50% of which is decomposed and absorbed by the body. This compound, according to experts, it is important for the growth and development of bone and connective tissue, and therefore, only the beer can contribute to good bone health.

Moderate use of beer can help in the battle against osteoporosis - a disease of bone in which it loses its density and becomes fragile.

The average concentration of silicon in the various beers is between 6.4 to 56.5 mg per liter. Dark beers have significantly higher amounts of light. Also, barley beers are richer in silicon than wheat, because the lining of the grain is naturally richer in micronutrients.

Over time, are piling up more and more evidence, demonstrating the utility of moderate consumption of beer. Well known are the benefits of its reducing the risk of conditions such as kidney stones, diabetes, colon cancer and enhance brain function. The list can be freely added, and "prevention of osteoporosis."
