Frequent meals and less

Usually healthy persons were fed three times a day, and when breakfast at 10 or 16 hours - and 4 times. This is completely normal for a healthy person who does not suffer from gastrointestinal lesions, and metabolic disorders.


 But in some diseases doctors recommend more frequent meals (assuming food in small portions 5-6 times a day). According to the disease is determined the duration of the meal - from 2 weeks to 2 months. The purpose of the diet is to normalize the function of digestion and metabolism.

 The frequent eating can be successfully implemented if necessary, by removing the extra pounds. Obese people receive food with low caloric value 5-6 times a day and lose weight fast. Further, in their daily regimen, they should accept food 4-5 times a day in small portions.

 More often you need to eat and ulcer patients after stomach surgery. In severe cases, the food is given 6 to 8 times per day, while the patient strengthening. Then in order not to overload the stomach, it is necessary to feed in 5-6 times per day.

 Frequent meals are recommended when exacerbate certain diseases - stomach ulcer, chronic damage to intestine (enteritis, colitis) and others.
